In a unexpected crossover event that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned practices and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.

The adventure centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Material

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
